DJ Sbu, whose full name is Sbusiso Leope, was born on May 28, 1977. He is 44 years old as of April 2022. The South African entertainer was born in Tembisa, South Africa. He grew up there with his parents, Mothlegi Leope and  Ntombizodwa Leope.

He began his early childhood education at Welamlambo Primary School, Tembisa.
